Select a sign wood and size and optional finishing options below by using the 'Add to Cart' button next to each option. When you're finished choosing a sign wood, size, and any desired options, click the 'Next Step' button to proceed. If you're giving a sign as a gift but want to let the recipient design their own sign, just buy a gift certificate in any amount you want!

Being a natural product, wood will vary in color and grain pattern from piece to piece. Samples of each have been provided on our Examples page for reference and are generally representative of what the finished product will look like. Examples can be seen on our Examples page.

Shipping and handling is a flat rate of $7.50 per sign and ship USPS Priority Mail. If you need to order more than one sign, please place separate orders for each sign.

Note: Rectangular signs in cedar and oak are made from dimensional lumber and the sizes given are nominal measurements. For example, a 12 x 24 inch sign is 11.25 x 24, an 8 x 24 inch sign is 7.25 x 24. Sign length may vary up to one half inch. For example, a 12 inch sign could range from 11 1/2 inches to 12 1/2 inches.

Options

Sign Orientation

Rectangular signs will be engraved as Landscape orientation unless the Portrait option is chosen. Other shapes will be engraved in the orientation shown in the pictures below unless you specify otherwise.

Double Sided

Rectangular signs can be double sided with the same layout as the first side for an additional fee of $15, no matter what size or wood type you choose. At this time, only rectangular signs can be double sided.

Cedar

Cedar is our recommended wood for outdoor signs. It has a medium to light color that provides good contrast between wood and engraved areas, typically has an even grain and relatively few knots, and is naturally resistant to the outdoor elements and insects. All cedar signs are rectangular in shape with rounded edges.

Red Oak

Red oak has a medium color that provides good contrast between wood and engraved areas, has a darker and more variable grain pattern, and very few knots. All oak signs are rectangular in shape and have rounded edges.

Basswood & Pine - Specialty Shapes

Pine and basswood have a light color that provides excellent contrast between wood and engraved areas, have a very light and even grain, and no knots. Most of our specialty shapes can be ordered in multiple sizes. The type of wood for each shape is specified next to the sign description in the drop down selections below. The dimensions shown represent the widest and tallest points of the sign. Specialty sign thickness is .55 - .75 inches. These shapes are available in basswood and pine only. Log Round sign sizes are approximate as they are a natural log slice and may vary slightly.
